Julie is a corporate secretarial specialist with extensive hands-on experience in provision of a wide spectrum of corporate secretarial services to group companies with complex shareholding structures, including public listed companies and variable capital companies. She currently leads our Corporate Secretarial Division and oversees the smooth operational and training aspects of this Division and has contributed her expertise in several of our client’s major projects since she joined us in 2021. She has strong technical grasp of company laws and regulations for private limited companies, variable capital companies, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships and branch office in Singapore and also knowledge on several other jurisdictions, namely, the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Malaysia.
She started her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Malaysia and joined PwC, Singapore in 2003 and has been with PwC for a total of 9 years, having acted as company secretary to several group of companies, including public listed companies, and is currently appointed as company secretary to several variable capital companies (VCC) in Singapore. Prior to joining us, Julie was managing the Singapore corporate secretarial division of a reputable global fund administrator service provider for 5 years. Throughout her career, she has participated in the business and the growth of several MNCs, a reputable law firm, a global fund administrator service provider and several other mid-size audit firms.
Julie is a practising member and an associate member of the Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore (CSIS) as well as an associate member of The Chartered Governance Institute UK (formerly known locally as The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (or ICSA for short)). Julie also holds a Master degree in Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
