Carmen specialises in Corporate Secretarial Services with a career spanning nearly 10 years. She began her professional journey in 2015 with Securities Services (Holdings) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia, delivering comprehensive range of company secretarial duties, for private limited companies (“private companies”) and public listed companies (“ListCo”).

In 2018, Carmen joined Cospec Management Services Sdn. Bhd., where she led a team and managed a wide range of ListCo on the MAIN, ACE and LEAP Markets of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia”). She contributed her expertise in Initial Public Offerings and other significant corporate exercises such as acquisition, Bonus Issue, ESOS, and Private Placements. She then progressed to Boardroom Corporate Services Sdn. Bhd., focusing on providing company secretarial services and regulatory advice to established ListCo.

Currently, Carmen is with us, where she has further honed her technical expertise in company laws pertaining to private companies, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships and variable capital companies in Singapore, as well as knowledge in the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands. She manages teams across the Singapore and Malaysia regions and spearheads market expansion in Malaysia.

Carmen is proficient in liaising with government authorities such as Bursa Malaysia, Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM), Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), and Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA). She is skilled at communicating effectively Board of Directors, Chief Officers, and other key stakeholders within and beyond an organisation. A practicing and associate member of Malaysia Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA), Carmen also holds a Degree in Commerce from Liverpool John Moores University.
